22 Hours in the Air

Uncle Paul kindly dropped us at Brisbane International for our 12.45am flight.
8 hours to Hong Kong
then 13 hours to London

The flight to Hong Kong was uneventful.

I popped 2 Codral night-time tablets and washed them down with 2 glasses of Merlot.
I slept for about 1 1/2 hours while Mick watched Wolverine.

We arrived at Hong Kong airport for a 2 hour stop over.
I was mighty impressed by the asian man who hocked a massive loogy infront of my foot on the carpet in the terminal. Noice.

We boarded our 13 hour flight to London with the ole chesnut of "Are you sure we aren't meant to be in first class?" Alas no our suave personalities and charm did not work on the Cathay Pacific staff.

Highlights of our LONG flight:-

The INCREDIBLE white hair coming out of the mole of the passenger adjacent to Mick.
The asian guy near Mick watched the movie "Fast and the Furious" 3 times during the flight!
Was in the process of watching it a FOURTH time when the cabin crew turned off the system for landign.

The young asian baby infront of us was the cutest child ever. Looked like a Loris!

Got to watch 5 episodes "Dexter-Season 3"but missed the LAST 5 MINUTES because we were about to land!

The toilet basins overflowed.

About 9 hours into the flight Mick asked the stewardess for a snack and she was so distraught because they no longer serve sandwiches. She bought him a HUGE sample bag with nuts, Kit Kats and other snackies and a bowl of maggi noodles. She was so apologetic! The Cathay Pacific staff were so lovely!

We arrived in London at about 3pm.

Mick had gone without sleep for nearly 48 hours. I managed to get about 4 hours of disjointed sleep in total.

Dan picked us up from the airport.
My legs & feet were so swollen ARRRRaaaggghhh

Get to Mel & Dan's house at about 5.00
Have a wonderful wonderful shower.
I crash at about 630pm.
Mick very soon after.
We both lapsed into a coma.
